PRIMIERO - MEZZANO
PATH: about 3 km; 1 hour and a half/2 hours
The Primiero cycle path runs along the Cismon stream and crosses the villages of Primiero with a total length of about 11 km: within everyone's reach. Cycling in a spectacular postcard with the Pale di San Martino in the background. This is what the Primiero cycle/pedestrian path offers. Much of the route is shady and cool even in hottest months of summer. The sections from Fiera to Mezzano and from Fiera to Siror are illuminated in the evening. There are benches and rest areas along the way. The part we recommend here starts from Fiera di Primiero and reaches Mezzano, one of the "Most beautiful villages in Italy".
Exit the main door of the hotel and go to your left; at the corner of the bar keep left and walk along the Cismon stream for about 400 metres; cross the bridge and go left towards Via Navoi. At the beginning of the street, on your right, you will find the beginning of the cycle/pedestrian path which will take you to the village of Mezzano.
The beauty of Mezzano is not linked to sumptuous monuments or ancient buildings, but it is the small cobbled streets, the fountains, the traditional wooden and stone houses and the view of the Dolomites that make this village the ideal destination for a romantic escape from the city.

VIA NOVA - PRIMIERO
PATH: about 1 hour and a half; 2.5 km
A classic Primiero walk, an easy dirt and paved road that crosses the slopes of Mount Bedolè, just above the villages, through fields and woods. An ancient road between history and nature.
Exit the hotel's main door and go to your left; cross the bridge over the Cismon stream and continue for 200 metres to reach the historic centre of Fiera di Primiero.
At Bar Weiss, take Rivetta (ascent) Enrico Koch, the road that leads up to the Archpriest's Church and the Palazzo delle Miniere in the hamlet of Pieve. Keep to the right, walk alongside the church and then take Via San Rocco and continue along the paved road (signpost No. 357 for Passo Gobbera and signs for Via Nova in the direction of Molarén). The origin of this mule track (Via Nova) dates back to the 16th century: it served as a link between the villages of Primiero, and was built to allow the transport of minerals extracted from the copper and iron mines in the area.
The scenic route crosses the slopes of Monte Bedolè in a southerly direction (you will recognise it by the trees broken off by the Vaja storm in 2018), without any major climbs, crossing wooded stretches and beautiful meadows with stone and wooden huts. Behind you rise the Pale di San Martino, while on the left, in the distance, the Vette Feltrine.
Having passed La Dena, continue your walk until you reach a crossroads with a fountain. From here the road descends towards Molarén and returns to Pieve along the 'panoramic road'. If you want to continue as far as Mezzano, on the other hand, take the little road towards Bagnan (the second, signpost 379), cross the bridge over the Val de Stona stream, go down Via delle Scure and you will reach Mezzano. When entering the village you will be greeted by two of the most impressive works of Cataste&Canzei, the permanent exhibition of artistic works made from firewood: L'aluviòn and Montagna In-Canto.

PRATI DEL NAVOI E GIARDINI BELVEDERE ENRICA - TRANSACQUA
PATH: approx. 1.5 km, 1 hour or so
A panoramic route among the meadows of Navoi (Primiero area).
Exit from the main door of the hotel and go to your left; at the corner of the bar keep left and go along the Cismon stream for about 400 metres; cross the bridge and go left, towards Via Navoi (the slope that you will find in front of you). After passing a stable where horses often graze, the road makes a wide bend and returns to the town centre. A stop at the cool and shady Giardini Enrica Belvedere is recommended. Still flanked by meadows and scattered houses, the road returns to the village of Transacqua, passing near the bridge of an old mill, now restored. Crossing the historic centre, you descend to Piazza San Marco with its lush rose bushes and sculptures by Simone Turra. A few steps further on, the new Green Park offers opportunities for resting, an interactive fountain and games for children.

MADONNA DEL SASS O DEI PIAI - TRANSACQUA
MADONNA DEL SASS O DEI PIAI - TRANSACQUA
PATH: short version: 4/5 km; approx. 2 hoursExit the main door of the hotel and go to your left; at the corner of the bar keep left and go along the Cismon stream for about 400 metres; cross the bridge and go left, towards Via Navoi (the slope in front of you). The cycle/pedestrian path starts on your right.
Ride for about 1.5 km until you reach Albergo Ristorante Sorive. On your left, you will find the indication of the trail n° 735, which develops in the middle of the woods, really suggestive. Continue until you reach the capital of the Madonna dei Piai (or Madonna del Sass). The capital was rebuilt in 1837 for the grace received from the escaped danger of cholera. The shrine is decorated with simple frescoes and is surrounded by a beautiful wood. From here, take the left-hand path that continues through the woods in the direction of Transacqua-Fiera di Primiero. You will enjoy a peace and tranquillity, immersed in nature, that will feel like you are on another planet. Continue almost flat through the wood, cross a stream and come out onto the beautiful meadows of Osne (where the magnificent panorama of the Pale di San Martino peaks open up) which you cross, passing a farmhouse and then a farm. Finally, you come out on an asphalt road at a bend.
The road takes you back to Fiera di Primiero along Via Navoi (going left you will arrive again at the start of the cycle/pedestrian path after a slight descent; going right, you can continue to the locality of Navoi, the Enrica Belvedere Gardens and return to the hotel via the hamlet of Transacqua). -
SENTIERO DELLE MUSE FEDAIE - VAL CANALI
PATH: about 2 hours; 3.5 km
Val Canali - Welsperg Lake and Villa Welsperg, headquarters of the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park
A nature-themed footpath around Villa Welspeg, in Val Canali. The route invites us to reflect with attentive eyes on Biodiversity, understood both as biodiversity, as well as of breeds bred and varieties cultivated by man, and finally as the richness of landscapes. In order to help the visitor in this reflection, along the route there are areas to stop and find information and ideas, unified by the symbolic element of Greek mythology, whose cultural basis is the grandiose and mysterious complexity of nature in relation to human consciousness. An itinerary which allows you to discover new views of the Pale di San Martino suitable for all the family. This soft walk is suitable for everyone with free Kneipp therapy and barefooting installation. The route, which is entirely flat and barrier-free, is 3.5 km long.
Hence the name of the route, the "Muse Fedaie", which refers to the mythological Muses as entities connected to the natural and cultural elements and to the Faiths, the sheep in the local dialect, which were traditionally reared in the meadows of Val Canali.
There are seven themes: the breeding of the "Norica" breed of horse, the landscape, vegetation, soils, the "Lamon" breed of sheep, the therapeutic use of water and humid habitats.
Artemis guides us into the world of horses and in particular into the breeding of the 'Norica' horse.
Mnemosyne indicates memory, the conservation of the landscape in Val Canali, one of the few places in the Alps that has been preserved almost intact for at least four centuries.
Talìa guides us to get to know the thousands of grasses in the meadows and Gea shows us the variety of the land we all too often tread absent-mindedly.
Galatea is the guide to understanding the process of sheep domestication, and the project to reintroduce the Lamon sheep in Val Canali.
Igea demonstrates the curative power of water, and the Najadi will guide you to discover the extraordinary life of the "minor" waters that spring from the peaty meadows of Villa Welsperg and flow into the limpid course of the Rio Brentella.

PONTE TIBETANO - VAL NOANA
ITINERARY: about 9 km
Comfortable excursion at the foot of the Vette Feltrine, a few kilometres from Mezzano, which allows you to experience the pastures of San Giovanni and Val Noana by crossing a Tibetan bridge suspended over the Giasinozza stream.
Seventy metres long, almost thirty metres high. This is the Val de Riva Tibetan bridge, the brand new attraction that from 2019 connects the Fonteghi Refuge to the villages of Caltena and the San Giovanni meadows. The bridge, located in a panoramic position over the Rio Giasinozza stream, offers a view of Lake Noana, a large artificial basin extending into the valley below, a true paradise for local fishermen. Built from four large steel cables anchored to the rock face, the suspension bridge is only accessible to pedestrians or cyclists.
From the hotel you can take the state road to Mezzano and then Imer. Here you will find signs for Val Noana and Rifugio Fonteghi (also a meeting point for canyoning with the San Martino Mountain Guides). Path n. 726 starts after the bridge at the side of the refuge and will take you to the Tibetan Bridge.
For those who wish to continue, after crossing the bridge, you can continue in the direction of San Giovanni, continuing to Caltena, descend to Transacqua and return to the hotel (the route will take about a couple of hours).
