Things to do in summer in Fiera di Primiero
Summer in the Valle di Primiero is about enjoying every moment in nature without haste. By staying at Hotel Isolabella, you can embark on a different adventure every day, such as walks along the Cismon stream or in Val Canali towards the Welsperg Lake or the Petina dai Piereni refuge.
If you love cycling, you can rent an e-bike directly from your hotel and follow the Ciclovia Valle del Primiero, which connects the villages between meadows, waterfalls, and small wooden bridges. For a slightly’ more adventurous day, try the loop that takes you from Passo Rolle to the Segantini cabin or climb to Lake Calaita, on a wonderful grassy plain surrounded by fir trees.
And then there’s our Wednesday mountain hut day: we head out together on foot, and with an easy walk, we reach the family-run hut, where a traditional, simple, and genuine lunch awaits you, all to be enjoyed with a view of the Dolomites. It’s a true experience, filled with the scent of the forest, fresh bread, and the mountains.

Fiera di Primiero in winter
In winter, the Valle di Primiero transforms into an enchanting corner, where snow covers rooftops, trails, and forests. Visit the historic center of Fiera di Primiero, strolling through quiet alleys, typical shops, and architectural gems like the Church of Santa Maria Assunta or the evocative Palazzo delle Miniere. All around, the landscape invites you to enjoy the slow pace of the winter mountain rhythms.
In winter, snowshoeing is the perfect alternative for those looking for snow without skiing. Among the most popular destinations are the Segantini cabin, Lake Calaita and the Church of San Silvestro. In Val Venegia, start from Pian dei Casoni and reach Malga Venegiòta, walking through snow-covered woods and quiet pastures. In Val Canali, you can snowshoe from Passo Cereda towards Malga Fossetta or Malga Canali, passing on the way back through the picturesque Cant del Gal area.
For those seeking something even more romantic, horse-drawn sleigh rides through the trails of the Paneveggio Natural Park, near San Martino di Castrozza, are a must. It’s a magical experience, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes and the serene beauty of the Dolomites.
