Each season is a total delight in Trentino
Whether it is snowing or the sun is shining, there is always something to do in the Primiero San Martino area. We wrote some ideas here below for you but we will have plenty more to suggest once you will be here!
Spring is the season of flowers and it is ideal to hike or mountain bike in the mountains as well as to stroll around the ancient towns of Trentino to discover its culture and cuisine. In the Natural Park Paneveggio Pale di San Martino there are hiking trails for any taste and level of experience: from expert hikers and Nordic walkers to families with small children. Moreover, couples looking for a romantic escape, should not miss the picturesque town of Mezzano and its famous “canzei”.
Summer is the season of sport lovers! Hiking trails, MTB paths, excursions, kayaking and adrenaline-heavy climbs are all available within short distance. For example, expert climbers might be tempted by the famous via ferrata “Bolver Lugli al Cimon della Pala”, while kayak fans might have a go on the Rio Neva in Val Noana. Even better, if you get tired after a day of intense sport, our wellness centre will be able to re-energise you and make you pump and primed for a new day full of emotions, sports and adrenaline.
Multi-colour leaves are the protagonists of Autumn in the Primiero Valley. They create wonderful and colourful creations, which you will never get tired to admire and photograph. Meanwhile, you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy excursions, Nordic walking, trekking and hiking. These activities will make you discover the other natural beauties of the area and show you the most romantic and picturesque corners, made even more beautiful by the Autumn leaves. This season is also excellent to taste the traditional fruit and vegetables of Trentino. You will find fresh apples, walnuts, grapes and mushrooms to be tasted at slow pace and with the people you love in a fairy-tale like landscape.
We will never have enough words to describe properly the many activities you can enjoy in Winter. Trentino is one of the most famous and sought-after mountain areas in Europe and in the world for skiing. The San Martino di Castrozza Ski Resort is only 20 minutes drive away from the Isolabella Hotel and a bit further on you can also enoy the Ski Resort of Passo Rolle. Both resorts are members of the Dolomiti Superski area, which is a real ski paradise. If you are not up for skiing, you can still enjoy several snowshoes paths and excursions or you can experience an adrenaline rush with a bob or sleigh. Also total relax is an option. You can go around town on a horse carriage, or do short and easy walks in the woods of Primiero Valley. This area is extremely romantic when all is covered in snow and you can enjoy a candlelit dinner in a warm chalet while it snows outside.
